To schedule a visit, call 951-341-8888 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. A maximum of two visitors per inmate is allowed per visit due to physical distancing requirements. Inmates are permitted up to two visits per week, each lasting approximately 45 minutes. Visitors must present valid government-issued photo identification and be 18 years or older to visit. All visitors and their belongings are subject to searches by correctional staff, as well as warrant checks. Visitors may only meet with the inmate they are signed up for; switching or trading inmates with other visitors is not permitted. Once a visitor leaves the visitation area, the visit is terminated.
Public restrooms are available at each facility, but no food, drink, or smoking is allowed in the lobby or visiting areas. For attorney or special visits, contact the facility where the inmate is housed to make arrangements. Visitors must adhere to the dress code, which prohibits clothing that references gang affiliations, displays lewd or offensive content, or fails to adequately cover the upper torso and lower body. Skirts must be at least mid-thigh length. Non-compliance with the dress code or other rules may result in denied visits or loss of visiting privileges.
Bringing contraband such as alcohol, drugs, weapons, tear gas, cameras, or knives into the visiting area is strictly prohibited and may result in arrest. Criminal acts on jail property will also lead to arrest. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Corrections Division reserves the right to terminate visits for security reasons. Metered parking is available on the streets surrounding the jail, and two public parking structures are located at the corner of Lemon and 12th Street.
